Juergen Ruetten

Juergen Ruetten has more than 16 years experience in the zinc recycling industry. In 2003, Ruetten founded his own consulting company, ValoRes GmbH, which was active around the world (from Brazil to Taiwan) in successfully improving existing Waelz plants, in supporting exisiting processes as well as the engineering of new recycling plants.  He also solved environmental issues and in creating benchmark and feasibility studies about pyro-metallurgical recycling projects.

Between 1996 and 2002, Ruetten was employed by the leading European industrial recycling company B.U.S Berzelius Umweltservice AG.  He managed the Waelz plant at Recytech S.A. between 1996 and 2000.  From 1990 to 1995, Ruetten worked in the chemical industry (basic materials).  Ruetten started his industrial career in an engineering company for large installations as a process specialist in de-dusting and catalytic NOx-removal. In 1985 to 1989,  he had several projects in the revamping of the gas treatment of utility boilers and waste incineration plants.

Ruetten graduated from The Technical University RWTH Aachen as Diplomingenieur (Mechanical Engineering / Techniques of Energy and Processes) in 1980 and was promoted Doktoringenieur in 1985.
